A 53 year old woman and her son residing in Wairuku ,Rakiraki lost their three bedroom concrete home after it was completely destroyed in an early morning fire.
There were no casualties reported as the woman who was inside the house managed to escape, while her son was away when the incident occurred.
The cost of damage is estimated to be $138,000.
