Year Eight students who feel dissatisfied about their Fiji Year Eight Examination (FY8E) results and who need a recount or remark have 30 days to do so.
Permanent Secretary of Education Selina Kuruleca said yesterday the results released on January 4 were provisional results that allowed students ample time to apply for the re-count and re-mark processes.
The process to apply for recount will cost $5 and remarking at $25 per subject.

“Recount means examiners and assessment unit will go through your examination paper and recount your marks and remark means they will mark the paper again,” Ms Kuruleca said.
“For students who scored less than 250 marks, all these students will still proceed to Year Nine because the Government is committed to the fulfilment of Sustainable Development Goal Four (SDG4).”
SDG4 is ensuring an inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
