$34 Million Owed To WAF

About $34 million is owed to the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) by its customers, it has been revealed.
WAF chief executive officer, Dr Amit Chanan, highlighted that a large portion of the debt was part of COVID19 support measures.
Fijians were given some time to clear their debt owed at the height of the COVID19 pandemic.

“There is a significant amount of debt burden that we have. We are looking at that recovery,” he said.
