$40K Grant to Build Teachers' Quarters Minister
The initiative is part of a broader $585,000 allocation this year to support infrastructure development in 18 non-government schools across the country.

Lutukina District School in Macuata has received a $40,000 grant to construct new teachers' quarters, under the Ministry of Education's Non-Government Schools Building Grant Programme.
Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro officiated the groundbreaking ceremony this week and commended the school for its commitment to improving the living conditions of teachers serving in rural areas.
The initiative is part of a broader $585,000 allocation this year to support infrastructure development in 18 non-government schools across the country.

During his visit, Mr Radrodro also held a talanoa session with school management, village leaders, teachers, students, and parents, where he reinforced the need for community support in education.
"It takes a village to raise a child," he said, urging continued collaboration to ensure a better future for children in rural Fiji.
He thanked teachers for their service and said safe, decent accommodation was crucial in helping them carry out their duties effectively.
The project falls under the People's Coalition Government's efforts to enhance rural and maritime education infrastructure.
