Two More Retired Senior Military Officers Dies
Lieutenant-Colonel (ret’d) Raduva collapsed and died while picking avocados for his three grandchildren at their farm in Waila on Saturday.

Two more retired military officers have died. They were Lieutenant Samuela Raduva and Lieutenant-Colonel Ilaisa Kacisolomone.
Lieutenant-Colonel (Ret’d) Samuela Raduva will be buried today beside his house just as he had wished for.
Speaking on behalf of the family Moira Raduva, the daughter-in-law said, the family were devastated of the news.

Mrs Raduva said her father-in- law was a family man and his three granddaughters were very close to him.
Lieutenant-Colonel Raduva was a former Commanding Officer of the Engineering Unit and also the chairperson of the Mataivalu Savings Credit Union before his retirement from the military.
He was also said to be deployed for peacekeeping duties in Lebanon and Sinai.
The funeral service will be at his home in Waila at 8am today.
Meanwhile, another senior military officer the Lieutenant-Colonel (Ret’d) Ilaisa Kacisolomone has also passed away.
He joined the then Royal Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) on July 1, 1969 and retired on August 1994 after 35 years of service.
His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, General Service Medal, the RFMF Medal and UNIFIL/MFO Medal.
He was appointed Minister for Youth and Sports in August 1987.
Lieutenant-Colonel (Ret’d) Kaci- solomone will be laid to rest on Saturday.
He hails from Nasau, Moce, Lau and survived by his three daughters and wife Gade Kacisolomone.
