Ex-Students Donate Items To Student Boarders

Adi Cakobau School ex-scholars with the 17 students whose belongings were destroyed earlier this week.
Former scholars of Adi Cakobau School (ACS) donated items to 17 student boarders whose belongings were completely destroyed in a fire which razed one dormitory last Monday morning.
The former scholars consisted of Vodafone Fiji employees.
They were led by Manarusa Tamana, who was the head girl for ACS in 2003. She is now a Graduate Accountant for Vodafone. She was accompanied by six of her colleagues who are also ACS ex- scholars.

Principal Arieta Yauvoli said the school and students were thankful for the assistance.
“There is nothing much we can repay you with, but we always know that the Old Girls are always there by our side,” Ms Yauvoli said. “Take it as our genuine appreciation.”
Ms Yauvoli many of the students’ parents were worried after hearing the news of the dorm fire.
“They keep calling and we are telling them that the students are well taken care of,” she said. “They go home tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon and Friday morning they take with them the new bags and other things.”
