490 Food Rations Cartons Distributed In Macuata

About 490 cartons of food rations were distributed to cyclone affected families in the greater Macuata area.

Leading the distribution was the Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports Alvick Maharaj.

“The food packs are mainly for children as they prepare for school,” Mr Maharaj said.

“ Many families in tents that received the donation were grateful as they still adapting to the temporary shelters,”he said.

Mr Maharaj said the donation was made possible through the sponsorship of Makan’s Pharmaceutical in Lautoka.

His message to children was for them not to worry as assistance was on the way.

He said they needed to focus more on their studies and do well in their exams.
