The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between China and Fiji under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) focuses on five key areas of mutual interest between the two countries, a Government minister said in Parliament.
Premila Kumar, the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Local Government, Housing and Community Development, said the memorandum, which was signed last year on November 12, had various components including trade and economic relations.
The minister also said in Parliament that the memorandum encouraged both countries to work together on mutual areas of cooperation with all stakeholders within and outside Government.
