DHL Express, the world’s leading logistics company will be celebrating 50 years of service in Logistics worldwide in 2019.
What started in 1969 with documents being transported by air between San Francisco and Honolulu has grown into the world’s largest logistics company that today operates in 220 countries and territories including Fiji and 11 Pacific island countries.
DHL Express Fiji are celebrating this 50 year milestone with several initiatives that will excite their customers and Rugby World Cup fans alike.

“To celebrate 50 years of great service, we’ve set ourselves an ambitious target to import or export 50,000 shipments to and from Fiji by the end of the year. This initiative requires your usual great DHL service matched with great DHL prices”.
Mark Komene, Country Manager DHL Express Fiji added “Fiji’s businesses, and specifically SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) have great products to sell internationally.
As well as a fast, reliable and secure international door to door service, SME’s need a really good price. And that’s exactly what we’ll give them” Mr. Komene added.
To begin, DHL Express will launch specially priced 10kg and 25kg boxes into the Fiji market next week, targeting destinations Australia, New Zealand, PNG and the Pacific Islands.
DHL Express is also stepping up its marketing campaign leading into the year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan.
“DHL Express has launched our Matchball Delivery Competition for children 8 – 15 years old. We will send a child and their parent from Fiji to Japan to deliver the matchball , “Mr Devan said.
Applications for the match ball delivery competition will close on 15 March 2019.
DHL Express Fiji began operations in Fiji in 1976. Today the company employs over 130 employees and it has offices located in Suva, Savusavu, Labasa and Nadi.
The Head Office in Suva also manages DHL Express operations in 11 Pacific island countries.
