57 People Arrested For Breaches, 5 RFMF Personnel, 1 Policeman

Acting Commissioner of Police is again pleading with members of the public to be responsible, learn to follow restrictions and orders and make things easier for authorities.

A total of 57 arrests were recorded in the last 24 hours for breaching Health Restrictions and Curfew Orders.

Out of these:

  • 38 cases were were alcohol-related

This included five military officers and a police officer who were with five others and found intoxicated in the Narere area.

  • 11 cases were related to kava consumption.
  • 2 people were arrested for crossing of containment areas
  • 6 cases were recorded for social gathering as they were celebrating a birthday at Nakasi.

 In the Western Division:

  • 11 cases were recorded

In the Southern Division:

  • 26 cases were recorded

Eastern Division:

  • 18 cases

Northern Division

  • 2 people were arrested in the Northern Division for drinking alcohol at Savusavu.
