$7.5m Allocated

The coalition Governmen t has allocated an additional $7.5 million to continue the 10 per cent reduction in bus fares.

Minister for Finance Biman Prasad said the allocation would run for an additional six months beginning from February to July.

For the current financial year, $6 million was allocated for the bus fare support scheme from the months of August 2022 to February 2023. The initiative was implemented in 2011.
