71 Days Later, Pryde remains absent

More than two months after his reinstatement by President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, following clearance from a tribunal, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Christopher Pryde has yet to resume office.
This masthead understands that his leave had ended, and he was expected to return to work on Monday.
However, Chief Justice and Judicial Services Commission (JSC) chair Salesi Temo confirmed yesterday that a meeting has been called to resolve the matter.

Mr Pryde has twice delayed his return to Fiji-first when new allegations were raised by senior management at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and again while awaiting reassurance from the JSC regarding those allegations.
It has now been 71 days since his reinstatement on January 7.
"We are about to meet because we need to resolve this issue," Justice Temo said.
"At the moment, I am not able to give you anything. I will do so after the meeting takes place."
