Government will require about FJ$9.3 billion in investment over the next decade to strengthen resilience, a Climate Vulnerability Assessment has revealed.

Speaking in Parliament yesterday, Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management Sakiasi Ditoka said this was almost 100 per cent of Fiji’s annual Gross Domestic Product.

“We will work to improve stakeholder coordination mechanisms and accomplish the goals of the 2018–2030 National Disaster Reduction Policy,” he said.
