Police officer Viliame Vutikalulu looks forward to spending real quality time with his 10-year-old daughter who was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease this year.
The Dravuwalu, Totoya, Lau native was among the 98 Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel who returned on Friday after serving more than a year under the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).
His daughter, Deborah, a Year Five student of St Joseph the Worker has been in and out of hospital until last month when she was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease.

“I want to thank my wife for looking after my children including my daughter who is recovering now. It would be my turn to be with her during this break before I resume work once again,” the 33-year-old officer said.
“I thank COMPOL and the Commander of the RFMF for giving me this opportunity to be part of this peacekeeping duty and the transition was awesome. I was so fortunate to represent the country for one year and two months.”

Former national and district football reps, Samuela Vula and Harris Bali, who are in the RFMF, also returned home.
