A-G Instructs Acting Commissioner To Reinstate Former Female Officers

Attorney-General Siromi Turaga has given instruction to Fiji Correc­tions Service (FCS) Acting Commis­sioner Salote Panapasa for the policy re­moval of single female officers losing their jobs when getting pregnant.

Attorney-General Siromi Turaga has given instruction to Fiji Correc­tions Service (FCS) Acting Commis­sioner Salote Panapasa for the policy re­moval of single female officers losing their jobs when getting pregnant.

He briefly highlighted this yesterday be­fore his tour around the FCS facility.

“Service is important and so before we instill a decision, we need to see how it im­pacts these officers’ livelihood,” Mr Turaga said.

“We need to also use godly wisdom and knowledge to sit and discuss such impacts on others.”
