A-G Wants More Info On Death Of Inmate

Attorney-General and Minis­ter for Justice Siromi Tur­aga has requested for fur­ther clarification from the Acting Commissioner Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) Salote Panapasa in regards to the death of an inmate.

Mr Turaga said he was notified about the death of inmate Mosese Talemainaivalu on Wednesday.

“I can confirm that the inmate passed away in hospital and not in a corrections facility,” Mr Turaga said.

Ms Panapasa said the recent death of the inmate at Colonial War Memorial Hospital was unfor­tunate.
