Accident Victims In Stable Condition

It is alleged that the driver, Mr Vula who is Ms Savuiwasa’s de facto husband was allegedly driving at a high speed when he failed to negotiate a bend resulting in the unfortunate accident.

The driver and the six-year-old boy involved in the Wainiyabia accident in Serua over the weekend are in stable condition. 

Former prominent journalist, Epineri Vula, and young Peni Vunisa are still admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said a caution interview would proceed once the driver was medically cleared by the authorities.

The horrific accident occurred last Friday night resulting in the death of Elenoa Savuiwasa, 34, Jemima Grace, 11, Elijah Armstrong, 4, and  Moses Koroibulileka, 11. 

The three children were in the back seat of the car, while Ms Savuiwasa was the front passenger. Mr Vula and Ms Savuiwasa were in a de-facto relationship. 

It is alleged that Mr Vula was driving at a high speed when he failed to negotiate a bend resulting in the accident.
