ACP Sakeo Raikaci Passes Away

​T​he late ACP Raikaci had also acted in the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police and Acting Commissioner of Police.

The Fiji Police Force family is mourning the untimely demise of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Chief of Staff (COS) Sakeo Raikaci, ​called to eternal rest on the 26th of April 2025.

The Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu said the organisation is deeply saddened by the sudden loss, extending the Fiji Police Force’s deepest and heartfelt condolences to ACP Raikaci’s family, acknowledging their support of a career police officer who for 35-years remained a loyal and dedicated servant of Fiji, contributing immensely to various disciplines of policing,

Commissioner Tudravu described ACP Raikaci as a formidable leader, whose commitment and unwavering loyalty and professionalism in the policing profession saw him rise up the ranks to becoming an Assistant Commissioner of Police.

​T​he late ACP Raikaci had also acted in the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police and Acting Commissioner of Police a few times in the absence of the Acting Commissioner Juki Fong Chew providing sound leadership to the organization.

ACP Raikaci joined the Fiji Police Force on the 21st of May 1990 and had served at the Tavua Police Station, Major Fraud Unit, Nabua, Prosecution Unit, Nausori, CID HQ, Director Legal [PHQ], Training & Development Officer – Prosecution, Director Internal Affairs, Director Prosecution, Police Liaison Officer [PLO] Ministry of Defence and National Security, was appointed the Assistant Commissioner​ Chief Investigation, Intelligence & Prosecution, Acted Deputy Commissioner of Police in 2023 and at the time of his demise was the Chief of Staff.

ACP Sakeo Raikaci’s career progression reflected a highly experienced and versatile professional in the field of policing, investigation and legal practice. Holding a Degree in Law and Legal Practice, ACP Raikaci brought a rare blend of operational skills and legal expertise to the Fiji Police Force​.

The ​late, ACP Raikaci ​was known to have mastered both the prosecutorial and intelligence operations​, and his contribution​s to the Fiji Police Force and the communities he served will always be remembered.

Commissioner Tudravu said ACP Raikaci leaves behind a legacy​, and his loss would be felt not only by his family but to the organisation that he dutifully served for 35 years.
