Adi Taufa Graduates Against All Odds

It is often said that the path to success is paved with challenges and obstacles.
Adi Taufa Lalabalavu’s journey is a testament to this because she overcame numerous hardships to achieve her dream of graduating with a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Assam Engineering College in Guwahati, India.
On Saturday, the 28-year-old graduated and thanked everyone who contributed to her achievement.

Leaving her family and young daughter behind in 2019, she embarked on a new chapter of her life in pursuit of higher education.
Little did she know that her journey would coincide with the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, presenting unforeseen challenges that tested her resilience.
“Shortly after arriving in India, the COVID-19 outbreak turned everything upside down. Schools closed, fellow students returned to their home countries, and I found myself alone in the dormitory,” Ms Lalabalavu said.
“With home being too far, I had no choice but to stay. I survived on bread and egg. Throughout this journey, it was only by the grace of God that I persevered.
“I want to thank every member of my family for their unending support, both spiritually and financially. Their love and encouragement have been instrumental in my success.”
