Market vendor Peniasi Saqaniliwalala, 70, says age is no barrier to earn a living when pursuing a productive lifestyle.
He sells his produce at Naqara in Taveuni.
The Somosomo Waivinaka Waica Settlement resident, began selling from a mini market space 10 years ago.

A small-scale farmer by profession, he chose to enter the commercial world to better understand the true market value of his produce.
“Selling from the settlement or to middlemen was not a viable option for me and my family,” Mr Saqaniliwalala said.
He also sells tasty iTaukei dish vakalolo made from yams, cassava, pawpaw, bananas, and kumala at his stall.
