Aggravated Robbery Suspect Charged

The accused is alleged to have robbed the employee of $50,000 last Thursday morning.

A 26 year old man will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon for his alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery case at a foreign exchange outlet in Laucala Bay last week.

The accused is alleged to have robbed the employee of $50,000 last Thursday morning.

He has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

More than $11,000 in Fijian currency and more than $3,000 in foreign currency believed to have been stolen during the robbery has been recovered by the investigation team.

A second suspect has also been taken into custody as investigations continue.
