Akbar Hands Over Transport Assistance To Rural, Maritime Schools

Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Rosy Akbar handed over transport assistance to head of schools from the rural and maritime areas at Waisomo House in Suva on Wednesday.
The schools that received a boat and an engine each were:
- Davetarua Primary Sch (Gau)
- Daku Village School (Tailevu)
- Komo Village School (Kabara)
- Nakasaleka District Sch (Kadavu)
- Moce District School (Lau)
- Wainimala Secondary School (Naitasiri) also received an engine for their boat.

“Transport Assistance is one of the many government initiatives targeted at increasing accessibility and equity to quality education,” Ms Akbar said.
