Akshay Goundar Scoops The 2022 Chef Of The Year Award
Emotional after his win, at the Heineken House in Denarau on Tuesday, he said: “I feel so proud and honoured in winning this award. I worked on this for the last two months.” In 2016 Mr Goundar won the Fijian Junior Chef of the Year during the Moffat Salon Culinaire. He is the Junior Chef at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort where he has worked since 2014.

In 2016 Mr Goundar won the Fijian Junior Chef of the Year during the Moffat Salon Culinaire. He is the Junior Chef at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort where he has worked since 2014.
“When I was a small kid, I was motivated by watching people cooking in the kitchen so I wanted to follow this track,” he said.
