Alarming 180 Cases
Majority of the cases are concentrated in the Lami-Nausori containment zone, while some cases were recorded in Nadi and two new cases in Lautoka.

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services announced 180 new cases yesterday.
Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong also announced two deaths related to COVID-19.
The first death is a 68-year-old man who was admitted for a pre-existing non-COVID medical condition but tested positive later on.

The second death is of the 42-year-old man from the Colonial War Memorial Hospital whose death was announced on Monday.
Two deaths which were also announced yesterday are still under investigation.
Majority of the cases are concentrated in the Lami-Nausori containment zone, while some cases were recorded in Nadi and two new cases in Lautoka.
The new cases brings the total active cases to 1631.
There have been 2200 cases during the current outbreak which started in April and 2270 cases since March 2020.
There have been 618 total recoveries and nine COVID-19 deaths in Fiji.
