The retirement age for all workers remains at 55 years, says the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) general manager member services, Alipate Waqairawai.
Mr Waqairawai’s comments were made after fund member, Rusiate Biudole who was part of the member forum at the RSL Club in Lautoka, questioned the review of the retirement age.
Mr Waqairawai said the retirement age was a critical consideration in running the funds.

“Let me just clarify that apart from wanting to retire at 40, there are other assistance available that members can have access to."
For example, if you want to do sugarcane farming for those who want to run a farm, you can approach the Sugarcane Growers Council and also via the Fiji Development Bank.
