Allegations against Vasu under police review
The Office of the Minister for iTaukei Affairs confirmed Mr Vasu lodged a complaint with the Fiji Police Force yesterday morning, describing the move as being in the interest of transparency and accountability.

Police has confirmed that a team from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) will analyse allegations made against Minister for iTaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu following a formal complaint lodged with the Commissioner of Police by the Minister.
“We can confirm that the Minister for iTaukei Affairs has met with the Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu and formally lodged a complaint, whereby all allegations stated by the Permanent Secretary against the Minister will be analysed. A team from the CID will analyse the allegations, and any criminal elements found will be investigated," Police said in a statement.

“This step has been taken in the interest of transparency, accountability, and to ensure that all matters are addressed through the proper legal processes," a statemebnt from the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs said.
The office said it welcomed an independent investigation and remained confident the facts would be established.
It also urged the public to exercise responsibility and refrain from spreading unverified information.
