Investing in a private ambulance company is not something many people would think of undertaking.

However, for Pravineet Nand and his wife, Lorence, there were no second thoughts about investing more than $1.5 million in what has now become Bula Ambulance Services (Fiji) Pte Limited.

With 15 ambulances and four-wheel drives in its fleet, Bula Ambulance has come a long way in introducing modern health services.

The couple started operations on November 9, 2019, during the COVID period, and they have not looked back since.

Mr Nand was a contracted service provider with a medical center in the west, while his wife was a registered midwife based at the Nadi Hospital.

“I come from a business background as my dad had always been in business, so he decided to turn ambulance services into a business,” Mr. Nand said.
