Anglican Church Of Polynesia Installs 8th Bishop And Archbishop

The Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese of Polynesia, Bishop Sione Silongo Uluilakepa, in his first sermon has called on members of his clergies and laity to use the Lenten season as a season to acknowledge their weaknesses and failures in-order to be renewed and to be transformed into the persons that God has called the to be in his service.

Bishop Sione was ordained at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in Suva on Saturday.

Over a thousand Anglicans from Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Fiji wide converged in Suva over the weekend for the consecration and installation of The Reverend Sione Silongo Uluilakepa as the 8th Diocesan Bishop of Polynesia and Archbishop of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.
