Police have arrested another suspected in relation to an alleged murder of a New Zealand national, Ashkan Farsani.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the two men who had earlier surrendered themselves at the Nabua Police Station have been released and the investigators have arrested another suspect.

She said the suspect was in custody at the Totogo Police Station in Suva while the investigations continued.

Mr Farsani was a businessman involved in the export of agricultural produce.

Mr Farsani was staying at a hotel in Suva and was identified by a friend.

The man was found near the Accident and Emergency Ward with stab wounds and attempts by medical authorities to revive him proved futile.

Police had earlier said the victim was seen being dropped off in a silver-grey Prius, which was later found abandoned at Tacirua, Suva.
