The military officer, alleged to have been involved in the attempted security breach at the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) magazine along Cunnigham Road, is believed to be still in military custody.

RFMF Commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai did not respond to our question on an update on this individual.

However, he said in a statement last Saturday that the military officer was kept in custody to assist with ongoing internal disciplinary investigations.

It is believed the group wanted to retrieve ammunitions that were stored in the military's magazine.

Earlier media reports have suggested an alleged connection between Jone Vakarisi and some military personnel following attempts to enter the Qeen Elizabeth Barracks.
