A twenty-five-year-old Logani villager from Tailevu is hoping to provide a better Christmas for her family by selling wall hanging decorations on roadside.
Sitting by a shop veranda in Nausori Town, Vasiti Laga weaves strings together and prepares her hand-made wall hangings with a smile on her face as she greets people stopping to admire her works of art.
“My husband and I were just doing farming to support our three children until my husband decided to use his painting skills to generate the much needed income for our family,” said the mother of three.
