Ashwin Raj Encourages Staff To Uphold Ministry's Principle

Mr Raj said the ministry had an important mandate in empowering the lives of those that are most susceptible to vulnerability, including women, children, persons with disabilities, elderly and those with no access to social mobility.

The newly-appointed Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Ashwin Raj, encouraged ministry stakeholders to uphold principles of non-discrimination at all times.

Additionally, they were to be responsive to the needs of all Fijians regardless of their race, religion, colour or creed.

Mr Raj said the ministry had an important mandate in empowering the lives of those that are most susceptible to vulnerability, including women, children, persons with disabilities, elderly and those with no access to social mobility.
