Aspen Medical Begins Operations Tomorrow
Under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements, Aspen Medical will develop, finance, upgrade, operate and maintain Lautoka Hospital and the new Ba Sub-divisional Hospital, with Aspen Medical responsible for all aspects of the delivery of these services.

Aspen Medical will begin operations tomorrow at the new Ba Hospital on Clopcott Street.
All services provided at the Ba Mission Hospital will be given in the new hospital when operations begin, according to a statement from the Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd trading as Aspen Medical.
Aspen Medical will roll out medical services in stages, according to the release.
Related stories
The following services would be available with effect from tomorrow at 8am:
- Accident and Emergencies
- General Outpatient
- Maternity
- Medical inpatients – adults and children
- Support services – xray, pharmacy and pathology
It added that all medical services previously available at the hospital would be made available at the new Ba Hospital.

Under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements, Aspen Medical will develop, finance, upgrade, operate and maintain Lautoka Hospital and the new Ba Sub-divisional Hospital, with Aspen Medical responsible for all aspects of the delivery of these services.
Key aspects of this partnership with the Fijian Government include:
- Commissioning and equipping the newly constructed Ba Sub-Regional Hospital, and then moving all services to it from the existing Ba Mission Hospital
- Undertaking an initial ‘fix’ of the Lautoka Hospital infrastructure, sufficient for it to provide appropriate support to service delivery until further substantial renovations or rebuilding can be undertaken
- Commissioning and equipping these new facilities at Lautoka Hospital as they come online.
