Judge Justice Paul Madigan will reveal today whether he agrees with the guilty verdict of three assessors who found a businessman guilty of being in possession of methamphetamine and equipment which is used to produce the drug.

Peniasi Sukanakoniferedi was found guilty by the assessors yesterday.

He is charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs namely methamphetamine weighing 3.617 kilograms, one count of unlawful possession of controlled chemicals namely pseudoephedrine weighing 1.989 kilograms and one count of unlawful possession of control equipment namely a single punch press machine.

This came to light when the Police raided the warehouse in Nadi where he was arrested on March 22 of 2014.

The case is adjourned and will be called at 10am today at Lautoka High Court
