Australia Defence Forces Forces Say Thank You, Farewell Fijian Soldiers
The Fijians were praised for the unrelenting bravery they showed while on a mission to assist overcome the drastic effects of the Australian bush fires.

A farewell parade was held yesterday for the 54-strong Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) engineering contingent deployed to assist in the bush fire rehabilitation work in Australia.
They arrive here on Tuesday and will be greeted by the Minister for Defence Inia Seruiratu.
The Fijians were praised for the unrelenting bravery they showed while on a mission to assist overcome the drastic effects of the Australian bush fires.

From the induction at Puckapunyal, to clearing the road in the Orbost regions, they soldiered on, singing and bringing a smile to each individual’s face they came across.
The presence of the RFMF in Victoria had been a living testimony of the Fijian generosity and humbleness Fiji is known for.
The soldiers had been conducting rehabilitation works after the fires in Victoria, Australia.
Thousands of people had been displaced in Australia as homes and properties were destroyed in the bushfire, which also claimed Australian lives.
These 54 RFMF personnel left for Australia on January 20, 2020.
