To further support security co-operation with Australia, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka visited the Australian Border Force (ABF) headquarters in Canberra.

Mr Rabuka and his delegation met with the leadership of the ABF, who updated them on their operations.

Fiji is expected to increase its cooperation with Australia in key areas, including policing, defence, security; migration management and border protection to address transnational organised crime, a move backed by the PM.

The visit also signalled Fiji's commitment to working closely with Australia to uphold peace, stability; and security across the wider Pacific region.

Prime Minister Rabuka highlighted the importance of collaboration in strengthening Fiji's security assets and capabilities and safeguarding the Pacific region from evolving and emerging security challenges.
