Police allege husband is the murder suspect
The post mortem examination for the student nurse who was allegedly murdered in Labasa was conducted on Friday.
This was confirmed by the Police spokesperson Inspector Jokatama Qio.

“It is alleged that the husband struck her at Vakamasuasua in Labasa on Wednesday morning,” Inspector Qio said.
“She was rushed to Labasa Hospital where she passed away.
“The suspect is in Police custody as the investigation continues. "The weapon that the suspect used has been recovered and it’s now with Police.”
"The name of the victim is Amelia Catherine. She was a student of Then India Sanmarga Ikya (TISI) Sangam College of Nursing in Labasa."
Both the suspect and the victim are 22 years old.
