Ayesha Stays Away From Social Media, Excels Academically
“I only spend two hours of studying at home because I don’t want to flood my brain, but I make sure that I learn something during those two hours.”

Ayesha Reddy turned down a leadership role at school in 2019 to focus on her academic performance.
That year the Pandit Vishnu Deo Memorial College student scored the highest mark in the Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination scoring 388 out of 400.
Last year, she impressed again by scoring 392 out of 400 in the Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination.

Two important attributes to her achievement were time management and spending zero time on social media.
She suggests that the only social network platform that students should spend more time on was Google.
“I was not on social media, but I managed my time well, being at home and also in school,” she said.
“I only spend two hours of studying at home because I don’t want to flood my brain, but I make sure that I learn something during those two hours.”
Ayesha who resides with her family in Barara, Lautoka, was inspired by her father, Ronald Reddy, mother, Arti Reddy and grandmother, Renuka Devi for supporting her.
“I want to be a secondary school teacher so that I can pass on my knowledge to the other students,” she added.
Ayesha Reddy's Year 13 marks:
- 95 per cent in English
- 100 per cent in Math
- 99 per cent in Physics
- 98 per cent in Biology
