Ba Province has raised $208,408 during the Siga kei Ba and Yaubula Day 2025 event held at Churchill Park in Lautoka last Saturday.

Provincial elders are hopeful the funds, together with expected government assistance, will boost investment in key areas across the province. Roko Tui Ba, Iliesa Delasau, said most of the funds would go towards education and capital development projects.

"We are concerned with the c u r rent performance o f our students in schools," he said.

"Education is a priority, and we will invest in raising the standard for our children."

Part of the funds will also support the province's operational costs.

"Some of the money will be used alongside government support to develop capital projects within the province," Mr Delasau said.

He thanked the various tikina ( districts) for their contributions and praised the Government ministries that brought services to the people during the two-day event.

Mr Delasau said the event also served as a platform to raise awareness about social issues affecting communities in Ba.
