Baby left alone in car, parents warned

In a disturbing incident in Lautoka yesterday afternoon, a baby was found locked inside a parked vehicle near a busy supermarket, sparking concern.

Passersby quickly alerted authorities, and police sprang into action, launching an investigation.

As officers worked to track down the car’s owner, the parents returned to the scene.

They were immediately warned by police, but released as investigations into possible child neglect continue.

Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu condemned the incident, urging parents and guardians to be more vigilant about their children’s safety.

He praised the quick-thinking public for their role in ensuring the baby’s safety.
