Bail Granted For Trio Charged With Being In Possession Of Alleged Forged Documents
They were each charged with one count each of Possession of Forged Documents, Contrary to Section 158(1) of Crimes Act.

Three people charged with possession of forged documents, were granted bail by the Nausori Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
The accused, Tuinaceva Seruvi, Leba Senicevuga and Mereoni Ceinaturaga appeared before Magistrate Supreena Naidu.
They were each charged with one count each of Possession of Forged Documents, Contrary to Section 158(1) of Crimes Act.

It is alleged that between June 1 to August 1, 2021, a directive was issued by Nausori Town Council to all Nausori Market vendors that by August 1, 2021, that there be ‘No Jab, No Entry’ inside the market for vendors.
It was then brought to the council’s attention that vendors had allegedly been purchasing vaccination cards sold within the market.
Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Department’s Economic Crime Unit discovered alleged fake vaccination cards in possession of the accused.
Verification made with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services confirmed that the accused persons had not received their vaccinations.
Seruvi waived his right to counsel. Senicevuga and Ceinaturaga opted for Legal Aid Commission counsel. The three accused persons chose to be tried in the Magistrate’s Court.
Police prosecutor Constable Siteri Camaicolo did not object to the accused’s bail, but requested if strict bail conditions could be imposed.
Magistrate Naidu ordered the trio to produce one suitable surety each and released them on $500 bail bond. The three accused are to report to the Nausori Police Station every Wednesday between 6am to 6pm and not to interfere with the witness, not to reoffend and to never miss their court date.
The case has been adjourned to August 16, 2022 for plea.
