Bainimarama And Qiliho Released On Bail

Former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and suspended Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho have been released on bail by the Magistrates Court in Suva.

Former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and suspended Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho have been released on bail by the Magistrates Court in Suva.

They both are ordered to sign bail of $10,000 and two sureties each.

They are ordered to attend all court dates and reside at a fixed address. They cannot change their address without the court's permission.

They are also ordered not to, individually or via a third party, interfere with the prosecution witnesses and not to reoffend.

The case will be called for mention to check on the second phase of disclosures and for a pre-trial conference on May 11.
