Members of the Senau Youth Club were urged to make good use of the four acres of land given by Saunaka landowners for farming projects.

When handing over a Youth Farm Initiative Grant at Saunaka Village on Monday, the Minister for Youth and Sports Parveen Kumar Bala encouraged youths to continue with their good work.

“To the recipients, may you continue with the good work that you have been doing to propel youth development in your individual communities,” he said.

Club members all hail from Saunaka Village. The club has 23 registered members in total and they received farming materials worth about $2000.

The minister has urged them to make good use of the land and the grant they have received.

“I am told the youth club has been permitted approximately four acres of land and I thank our partners such as the village elders for supporting our young people here today,” Mr Bala said.

Government acknowleged

“We commend the Government of the day, especially the Ministry of Youth and Sports in empowering our youths of today in land usage and utilisation in the form of this aid being presented to us today.”
