Ms Lata said the state would need seven days to do CRO checks on the bail sureties before confirming its position on Masum’s bail application since he was a foreign national and this was a serious allegation.
Justice Sharma adjourned the matter to March 17, for the state to confirm its position on Masum’s bail application and to tell the court of the CRO checks.
A production order was issued for Masum who was further remanded.
