Mohammed Zoheb can’t wait to return home to tell his father, Mohammed Jarif that he was able to fulfil his dream by becoming the head boy of Seaqaqa Central College.
The 18-year-old of Natua, Seaqaqa outside Labasa Town said he was surprised to be inducted as the head boy before 520 students in his school.
“Many ask what I want to become I say architect and they ask why not choose to be a businessman like father.

My parents work together to operate their own business, Jarif Motor Spares and Tyre Centre in Seaqaqa,” Zoheb said.
“Although my father has lots of expectation from me, I see him as my role model because he is very kind, humble, never spoke back or bad to anyone and always worked hard.
“It is always good to plan ahead and given the privilege to be the head boy of the only college in Seaqaqa serving students from 20 villages and settlements is an honour,” he said.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported me.”
The school is located 30 kilometres from Labasa Town.
Meanwhile, the head girl of the school Judy Batisaresare, 17, of Nanivuda, Seaqaqa also said she was surprised to be elected.
“I am excited to work together with 78 prefects and 46 teachers from Year 10 to 13,” Judy said.
“My ambition is to become a pilot and I am happy to be the first head girl in the family.
