Big Welcome for Peacekeeper Serumaia Bose
Communication and prayer kept Bose going while he was away for a year.

A big welcome awaited Lance Corporal Serumaia Bose at the Nadi International Airport, topped off with a banner showing just how his family looked forward to his arrival.
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel was one of the 70 peacekeepers who arrived from Sinai yesterday. They served under the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) mission.
Lance Corporal Bose said communicating with his family daily was what kept him going throughout his one year of service while prayer was his top priority.

“I always pray so that my communication with the family helps me in my everyday life,” he said.
“Luckily, there is social media out there and that is the main thing that helps me stay connected with them.”
Of his future plans, he said when duty calls he was ready for it.
Lance Corporal Bose said he loved serving his country.
“It was a call for me to go there and do my duty on behalf of my country and the people out there,” he said. Edited by Ranoba Baoa
