Charan Jeath Singh assured Labasa residents that his ministry would handle future Girmit Day celebrations.
The Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs said funds would be allocated and every town and centre including Subrail Park in Labasa would have big celebrations.
“This year we are concentrating on a bigger scale celebration in Suva on May 15 because it has been designated a public holiday,” Mr Singh said.
