One of the bikers who was involved in a freak accident at the Nawai stretch in Nadroga on Sunday died early yesterday morning.
Tao Ahua, 42, a Chinese businessman remained in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he had sustained major injuries to his arm. He had undergone surgery on Monday.
Mr Ahua’s friend Raiyaz Sahu Khan, who is also a coordinator for the Fiji Motorcycle Association (West), said: “The family members of Mr Ahua, fondly known as Jerry in the bikers circle, are mourning the loss of our brother.

“It is a sad day for us. We remained devastated since the incident happened. There have been great memories within our circle of friends.”
Mr Khan said the details of the funeral would be relayed shortly.
The late Mr Ahua is survived by his partner and 10-year-old daughter. He lost his wife to cancer six months ago.
