Former FijiFirst allies Premila Kumar and Mosese Bulitavu are clashing on social media, trading accusations as the 2026 General Election nears.

Ms Kumar has called Mr Bulitavu a "party hopper" and "opportunist" after he linked her to FijiFirst's economic mismanagement.

He claimed she was now supporting the Opposition Leader's new political movement and criticised FijiFirst for its lack of AG Ms, financial secrecy, and $700K debt.

Ms Kumar hit back, saying Mr Bulitavu was once backed by Bainimarama.

She accused him of switching parties for personal gain and urged him to focus on his job as Minister for Climate Change instead of engaging in "political gossip."

Mr Bulitavu, who won a seat with FijiFirst in 2022, was appointed Minister for Climate Change and Environment last month in the Rabuka-led government.

After FijiFirst was deregistered in July 2023, he and others from the Group of Nine (G9) changed political sides.

Their public feud highlights growing division in Fiji's shifting political landscape.
