Suman Lata, the owner of a four-flat house, was devastated after she lost her home and belongings as a result of a fire last Friday at Lakena, Nausori.
“Everything is gone. The only thing my tenants and I are left with is clothes which we wore on the same night before the fire happened,” said the 46-year-old single mother of two children.
She said she was not home when the fire occurred.

Her family is currently staying at her mother’s residence in Davuilevu, Nakasi.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed the fire incident.
“We are currently doing a joint investigation with the National Fire Authority,” she said.
